Under Indie Game Jam 1 (Shadows) (also Casey's Blog)

For IGJ1, my game allowed the player to soar around like a bird using their arms as wings. It was really cool to play - I love it. You could do tricks like in Tony Hawk, things like catching jumping fish or completing the slalom course. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge there was never permission to release binaries of the engine (or something similar), so I do not have a redistributable. Just movies.

I'm not exactly sure who recorded videos of the Experimental Gameplay Workshop presentation for IGJ1, but someone managed to get videos of all the games presented (and you can find the rest on the IGJ1 web site). This is a re-encode of the video of my game so it is playable in the browser!

This is a video of my original demo of the game to all the rest of the jammers at the barn after the jam had wrapped up. Fear the shadow of my ridiculous hair at the time!

Note: for some reason, which is lost to me in the mysteries of ffmpeg, the re-encode of this video to MP4 for web streaming left the video playing somewhat slower than the audio. This leads to them getting horribly out of sync by the end...
