Jeriaska put together a really nice interview about Sushi Bar Samurai, with an emphasis on the game's music. Check it out at Game Set Watch!

Adam Niese from PixelSocks had some really excellent questions about Sushi Bar Samurai when he interviewed me at PAX. For anyone interested in the game's design ideas, Adam did a fantastic job at getting to all the details. I'm going to have to RSS that site - I'm looking forward to reading more of his work!

There's a new interview with me about Sushi Bar Samurai on GameCritics.com. I especially liked the fact that the interview included a games-as-art question. It's an issue that needs to be resolved sooner rather than later, and I think it's great that people are starting to ask about that instead of letting it linger on the sidelines.

There's brief video of me talking about the music of Sushi Bar Samurai as part of the PAX 10 music interview collection up at Silicon Era. I thought it was pretty cool that there was someone reporting specifically on the music in the games! I think it would be an excellent thing if various individual aspects of game development had their own reporting like this, since most reporting tends to focus on the game as a whole, which is good, but it can also be very beneficial to consider a single element in isolation and focus on that...

Sweet! The guys at BusyGamer came by the Sushi booth at PAX 10 and played for quite a while. I'm delighted to see that they liked the game. Check out their preview here!

Hooray for the hometown paper! The Stranger is our local cool free press, a Seattle tradition and one of the only newspapers in the city that I actually read when I'm out and about eating. I got to meet the reporter at the PAX 10 booth actually, and he seemed like a really cool guy so I look forward to talking with them about the game some more.
Anyways, the 2:55 entry on Slog talks about the PAX 10, Sushi Bar Samurai included.

Which is good, because it saves me the trouble of having to figure out how to use the DVR :)
This is interview footage with G4 mixed with video from the game in a 3-4 minute segment. Unfortunately, for some reason, they seem to have varied the frame rate at which they played back the game footage, which is kind of odd... so sometimes it looks like the game is moving considerably more slowly than it normally goes. Not sure why that is.

In theory, some footage from Sushi Bar Samurai, and perhaps some interview material from me, will be on G4 as part of the PAX 10 feature on August 29th at 8PM. I actually have no idea what they will be showing, since I assume the segment hasn't even been assembled and edited yet. But, it turns out we get G4 here, so I will find out when everyone else does I guess!

Just trying to catch up on the press page here: this is a few weeks old now, but it was the very first interview about the game.
